Clifford Chance has advised Nofar Energy via its Romanian entities Solis Imperium and RTG Solar Energy on a EUR 122 million term loan facility agreement and VAT facility agreement with the EBRD and Raiffeisen International.

According to Clifford Chance, "the proceeds will be used, among others, for the development, construction, and operation of two solar photovoltaic plants in Giurgiu County, with a combined capacity of 315 megawatts (169 megawatts in Iepuresti and 146 megawatts in Ghimpati)." Earlier this year, Clifford Chance advised Nofar Energy on EPC and O&M Agreements with CRJ Renewables for the two plants (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on March 22, 2024).

The Clifford Chance team included Partners Nadia Badea and Madalina Rachieru-Postolache, Senior Associate Oana Ionascu, and Associate Adelina Seserman.

Clifford Chance did not respond to our inquiry about the matter.
