CMS and King & Spalding have successfully represented ACF Renewable Energy Limited – a JV between ACWA Power, Blackrock, and Crescent Capital – in an ICSID case against Bulgaria for the breach of fair and equitable treatment under the Energy Charter Treaty, concerning the 61-megawatt Karadzhalovo photovoltaic plant built in 2012.

Oppenheim has advised Carussel on the sale of a majority stake in the company to Genesis Capital, on the related agreement regulating their future business cooperation, and on the partial bank financing for the transaction. Kinstellar advised the Genesis Growth Fund I on the purchase.

Harrisons and, reportedly, White & Case advised lenders Erste Bank AG, Erste Bank Novi Sad, and the EBRD on their EUR 91.4 million financing.
