Former Counsels Jan Czerwinski, Tomasz Michalczyk, and Grzegorz Sprawka and former Senior Associate Rafal Karbowniczek have been appointed as Partners with Domanski Zakrzewski Palinka on July 1, 2023.
Czerwinski is a tax law specialist advising clients in the tobacco, IT, telecommunications, and banking sectors. He also represents clients in tax and court proceedings, including disputes over EU financial adjustments. He joined DZP 13 years ago, starting as a Senior Tax Consultant and being promoted to Tax Manager in 2014, Senior Tax Manager in 2018, and Counsel in 2022. Earlier he spent almost a year with the Artur Nowak Law Office and close to three as a Tax Consultant with EDDDP.
Michalczyk specializes in infrastructure, public procurement, and public-private partnerships. He joined the team back in 2013 as an Associate and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2014 and Counsel in 2021. Earlier, he spent five years as a Lawyer with Wardynski & Partners and one year with Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services at EY.
Sprawka is a Corporate/M&A specialist advising clients in the FMCG, financial, energy, real estate, and pharmaceutical sectors. He also joined DZP 13 years ago, starting as an Associate, making Senior Associate in 2012, and making Counsel in 2022. Before that, he spent four years with PwC as a Consultant and Senior Consultant. He started out with the Chalas i Wspolnicy Law Office in 2006.
Karbowniczek specializes in White-Collar Crime and also handles cross-border cybercrime cases and pro bono work. He joined DZP in 2017 as a Senior Associate. Earlier, he spent four years with Wolf Theiss as a Senior Associate, between 2013 and 2017. Before that, he spent two years with Beiten Burkhardt Daszkowski as an Associate and three more with Gessel, between 2008 and 2010.
