Jan Exner Joins Briza & Trubac To Lead Sports Law Practice

Attorney At Law Jan Exner has joined the Briza & Trubac team in Prague as Head of the firm's Sports Law practice. The move became effective on September 1, 2023. 

According to the firm, Exner specializes in sports law and EU law and "brings his extensive experience in providing legal services to the Czech Olympic Committee and the World Aquatics Federation."

Before joining his new team, he worked as a sole practitioner for six months, in addition to his other roles: a Consultant for the WAF since 2022, after having spent five years and an Audit Committee Member for the Federation; an Arbitrator with the Tribunal Arbitral du Sport in Lausanne, since January 2023; and a Consultant for the Czech Olympic Committee, since 2021. Earlier, he spent three years as an Attorney Trainee with Hana Bernatova between 2019 and 2022, three more as a Lawyer with the Czech Olympic Committee between 2016 and 2019, and also did a stint as TV Presenter for Eurosport, between 2011 and 2014.
