Arzinger has successfully defended Aroma Perfume in a dispute with the customs authorities.

Aroma Perfume is a Ukrainian perfume producer.

According to Arzinger, the authorities had reclassified several imported ingredients used in fragrance production, triggering significantly higher import duties and VAT assessments and issuing protocols for alleged customs-rule violations. Ultimately, the courts annulled the challenged customs decision in full. This outcome restored the Aroma Perfume’s original duty and VAT liabilities.

The Arzinger team included Partner Nikita Larionov and Associate Iryna Rokishchuk.
