Ilyashev & Partners has successfully represented British company JKX Oil & Gas PLC before the Kyiv Court of Appeal in its claim to have an award of over USD 12 million from the Permanent Court of Arbitration in London recognized and enforced in Ukraine.
The losses suffered by JKX Oil & Gas were incurred, Ilyashev & Partners reports, "as a result of the violation by Ukraine of its commitments under an agreement with the United Kingdom on Promotion and Mutual Protection of Investments."
JKX Oil & Gas PLC is engaged in exploration and production of oil and gas in the European and North American countries. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and has been operating in Ukraine since 1994.
