Clifford Chance has advised Trendyol on the sale of an 85% controlling stake in its on-demand delivery arm, Trendyol Go, to Uber for USD 700 million.
The transaction remains contingent on regulatory approval.
Majority-owned by Alibaba, Trendyol is Turkiye’s largest e-commerce platform and its first decacorn. According to Clifford Chance, Trendyol Go, which serves more than 90,000 restaurants and employs over 19,000 couriers across Istanbul, will become a cornerstone of Uber Eats’ entry into the Turkish market.
