Freshfields has announced that it advised Hewlett-Packard Company on its global division into two separate listed companies - the largest division of a technology company ever.
Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen (NNDKP) has advised Globalworth Real Estate Investments Ltd., a real estate investment fund, led by Greek businessman Ioannis Papelakas, targeting opportunities in Romania, on its acquisition of the second building in the Green Court Bucharest project from Skanska. PeliFilip advised Skanska on the deal.

White & Case has advised Super Group Limited (Super Group) on its acquisition of the IN tIME group from funds advised by Equistone Partners Europe, in a deal that values the company at EUR 153.5 million. Equistone was advised by P+P Pollath + Partners. The transaction should complete in the autumn after approval by the central bank of South Africa.
Dentons has assisted AmRest Holdings SE in acquiring Starbucks franchises in Romania and Bulgaria from the Marinopoulos Group. AmRest will now operate 18 Starbucks coffee shops in Romania, and 5 in Bulgaria. Dentons describes the acquisition as an "entryway into the Romanian market” for AmRest. The transaction is valued at approximately EUR 16 million.

Lawyers from RTPR Allen & Overy have counseled the EBRD on its EUR 10 million loan to SC Raja SA Constanta, one of the largest water utilities in Romania. SC Raja SA Constanta — an existing EBRD client that previously received a EUR 33 million loan in 2010 — operates in the counties of Constanta and Ialomita with a growing presence in Calarasi, Dambovita, and Ilfov.
In mid-July it was reported that Partner Perry Zizzi would be leaving Badea Clifford Chance in Bucharest to return to Dentons, where he had worked (under the Salans brand) before leaving 7 years before. On August 4 the news broke that long-time Ukrainian expert Adam Mycyk had joined Dentons as well. Mycyk moved over from Chadbourne & Parke, as that firm winds down its operations in Kiev.
