Ioana Roman, Eliza Baias, and Mihnea Sararu have been promoted to partner at PeliFilip.
According to PeliFilip, Ioana Roman’s expertise includes "structuring of complex transactions from acquisitions to exits, development and financing of real estate projects, leasing, corporate and M&A, arbitration and general litigation, [and] commercial contracts. Her background also includes advising on PPP, concession, and infrastructure projects, as well as on various real estate matters related to the acquisition of NPLs and the development of renewable projects. She started working at PeliFilip in 2008, first as an Associate, then from 2012 as a Senior Associate."
Concerning her promotion, Roman said: “I had the opportunity to grow professionally within the PeliFilip team, a united, dynamic and ambitious community made up of some of the best lawyers in Romania. I am proud that, together with my colleagues, I have participated over time in the largest transactions in Romania. I was particularly attracted by the complex projects that have challenged me to find innovative solutions for our customers, thus setting precedents in our legal practice. The promotion to the position of partner is an honor for me and I trust that together we will continue to successfully engage in complex and exciting projects and provide our customers with high quality services.”
Eliza Baias has also been a member of the PeliFilip team since the firm's creation in 2008. Her main areas of expertise are Corporate/M&A and Capital Markets. According to PeliFilip, "Eliza has advised on corporate, financing and regulatory matters on some of the most complex Capital Markets, M&A, Energy and Financing transactions on the Romanian market in recent years."

According to PeliFilip, “Mihnea Sararu was one of the initial members of our litigation team. He was entrusted by our clients with high profile mandates in relation to commercial, corporate, administrative, competition, privatization, IP, or constitutional matters.” Before joining PeliFilip in 2010, he worked at Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen as a Junior Associate.
Regarding his promotion, Sararu stated: “I thank PeliFilip’s partners for the trust and support I have been given throughout our collaboration so far, as well as for the invitation to join them, an invitation that I accepted with enthusiasm and responsibility. I look at this new professional stage through the eyes of the young man who, eight years ago, at the beginning of his career, joined the company in search of a team to share his values, and I believe that the consensus for the values and performance has been the basis for my professional development within PeliFilip Litigation Department. In addition, PeliFilip announced that Raluca Puscas, Alexandra Manciulea, and Alexandru Gosa were promoted to Counsel, and that Mirabela Maria and Ana Pantilica were promoted to the position of Senior Lawyer.
