Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen has successfully represented the Municipality of Bucharest in a dispute involving ownership of the Mogosoaia Palace. After more than eight years of litigation, on May 22, 2018, according to NNDKP, the Court ruled that the Palace belongs the Municipality.

According to NNDKP, “its legal team addressed difficult issues that required a thorough analysis of the evolution of legislation on property, of the jurisprudence and legal studies throughout the years, and was confronted with the difficulties inherently associated with consulting old documents and archive research."

The court's decision may still be challenged before the Bucharest Court of Appeals.

NNDKP’s team, which was coordinated by Senior Partner Ana Diculescu-Sova, included Partners Sorina Olaru and Peggy Suica-Neagu, Senior Associate Daniela Ghervas, and Associates Mihaela Ceaucescu, Elena Triscariu, and Emanuel Bondalici.

Editor's Note: After this article was published CEE Legal Matters learned that the Cliza Law Office has also worked on the case, describing itself as "the local authority in this dispute for more than 6 years." The firm's team was coordinated by Founding Partner Claudia Marta Cliza and included Managing Associate Laura Spataru-Negura, Senior Associates Margareta Dutu and Sorin Valeriu Dobrovici, and Associates Dragos Catalin Borcea and Mihaela Lucia Niculescu.
