Suciu Popa has announced the promotion of Roxana Fercala, Andrei Georgescu, and Crina Ciobanu to the firm’s partnership.

Fercala, Georgescu, and Ciobanu have been with Suciu Popa as Managing Associates since the formation of the firm in 2016, and the firm describes each of them as having "over ten years of solid legal experience in serving a number of blue-chip companies in some of largest transactions concluded on the Romanian market to date."

According to a statement released by Suciu Popa, "Roxana Fercala has a very broad experience in counseling major foreign investors in Romania and focuses her practice on dispute resolution concerning investments, privatizations, [and] mergers and acquisitions in areas such as constructions, infrastructure, public procurement, and energy. Roxana represents clients in a wide range of international disputes as well as complex litigation matters pertaining to international trade law, construction law, as well as international public and private law. Roxana was admitted to the Bucharest Bar in 2005 and holds a PhD from Babes-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca."

That statement describes Andrei Georgescu's practice as covering "Romanian and EU law, competition and antitrust, corporate and mergers & acquisitions, regulatory and compliance, [and] pharma, as well as litigation related to these areas of practice." According to the firm, "over the years, Andrei has acted on behalf of multinational clients in complex merger control procedures, antitrust investigations and dawn-raids as well as in litigation files concerning IT, pharma, energy, and other regulated industries. Andrei was admitted to the Bucharest Bar in 2007 and is also an Intellectual Property Adviser, offering assistance on trademark, design and copyright protection, licensing and disputes."

Finally, the firm reports, "Crina Ciobanu is predominantly focused on domestic and cross-border real estate investment and finance. She has an in-depth knowledge of aspects of the transactional market and related financial schemes, specifically regarding acquisition and project finance and general banking matters. Crina has also represented major investors in connection with construction and infrastructure investments, offering hands-on advice at every stage of the project, from the tendering phase, up to mediation and arbitration, when necessary. Crina was admitted to the Bucharest Bar in 2007."
