Stratulat Albulescu, working with Taylor Wessing, has advised US-based product engineering provider Encora on its acquisition of Romanian software engineering services provider Softelligence.
Closing is expected in mid-2023, pending regulatory approval.
"This acquisition marks Encora’s entry into the European market," Stratulat Albulescu informed. "Softelligence will support Encora’s strategic expansion into Europe and bolster its capabilities to serve clients in new markets such as the UK, continental Europe, and beyond."
Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, Encora is a product engineering provider. It provides services such as predictive analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud, and test automation.
Founded in 2006, Softelligence offers software engineering services and digital solutions for banking, insurance, and other industries. The company has offices and delivery sites in Bucharest and Craiova in Romania and Skopje, North Macedonia.
The Stratulat Albulescu team was led by Managing Partner Silviu Stratulat and Partner Cristina Man and included Partners Ana Kusak and Andrei Albulescu and Associate Alexandru Lazar.
Stratulat Albulescu was unable to disclose further information on the deal.
