Clifford Chance has advised Rezolv Energy on the acquisition of a 1,044-megawatt solar plant in Arad County from the Monsson Group. Biris Goran and Berechet Rusu Hirit advised Monsson on the sale.

Rezolv Energy is a portfolio business of sustainable infrastructure investment fund Actis. The Monsson Group is a renewable energy company.

According to Biris Goran, the asset is a "unique project due to its magnitude – the largest PV park of its kind in Europe ... The PV plant will have an installed capacity of up to 1,044 megawatts and is designed to include a state-of-the-art energy storage solution. The annual energy production of this PV park can cover the energy needs of more than 1 million households and will generate more than 500 new jobs over the next three years."

Back in September, Clifford Chance advised Actis on the launch of Rezolv Energy and on Rezolv's acquisition of a 51% stake in the Romanian Vis Viva onshore wind project from Low Carbon (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on September 20, 2022).

Clifford Chance’s team included Partner Nadia Badea, Counsel Loredana Ralea, Senior Associates Alexandra Voicu, Andrei Caloian, and Mihnea Niculescu, and Lawyer Carmen Buzenche, with further team members in London.

Biris Goran’s team included Partners Teodora Motatu, Gabriel Biris, Ruxandra Jianu, and Sorin Biban, Of Counsel Dana Dunel-Stancu, and Senior Associate Kira Bujduveanu.

Berechet Rusu Hirit's team was led by Partners Anca Rusu and Valentin Hirit.
