Glodeanu & Partners has advised the INVL Renewable Energy Fund I on its acquisition of a 102.7-megawatt portfolio of solar projects in Romania.

INVL is a Vilnius-headquartered Baltic investment management and life insurance group whose companies manage pension, mutual funds, and life insurance commitments as well as individual portfolios, private equity, and other alternative investment products.

"The attractiveness of the Romanian market is growing fast," INVL Renewable Energy Fund I Managing Partner Liudas Liutkevicius commented. "We are observing constant growth of interest from foreign investors in the country’s renewable energy sector. Our fund’s investments in sustainable energy projects are already quite significant and we continue to actively seek new acquisition targets on the market. The fund’s solar projects in Romania are nearing the start of construction which opens more opportunities for local cooperation in areas of construction and equipment supply."

Earlier this year, Glodeanu & Partners advised the INVL Renewable Energy Fund I on the acquisition of two companies developing solar power plants in Romania with a capacity of 166 megawatts (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on June 22, 2022).

The Glodeanu & Partners team included Partner Cristina Gavrila.

Glodeanu & Partners did not respond to our inquiry on the matter.
