Cristina Man and Octav Grigore Stan have been promoted to Partner at Stratulat Albulescu.

“Both Cristina and Octav are part of our Corporate/M&A group, one of the firm’s core practice areas,” according to the firm. “These promotions reflect the strength and depth of our firm’s talent and our commitment to continually investing in the future of our business and our people.”

According to Stratulat Albulescu, “Cristina is a long-standing member of the firm who has proved her dedication and devotion to the strategy and principles which drive SAA and has helped strengthen and grow it to its current leading position in the market. A Corporate lawyer by background, Cristina has become specialized in Tech M&A and will continue to have a leading role in the dedicated group for this specialism within the larger M&A Department.”

Man advises foreign and domestic clients on a “wide range of matters related to the development of their businesses in Romania,” according to Stratulat Albulescu. “Working with market leaders producing some of the most cutting-edge technology in the world, the range of her client base includes multinational tech companies, rapidly expanding international companies, investment funds, start-ups and their founders and tech services users.” She has a Master’s degree from the University of Bucharest. Prior to joining Stratulat Albulescu in 2015, she spent four and a half years with Bulboaca & Asociatii.

Stratulat Albulescu says that Stan "has performed outstandingly and delivered exceptional, client-oriented work in the six months he has been here. His energy, determination and friendly approach combined with his experience, have made us certain that he truly fits the profile of a partner in SAA. Throughout his career Octav has been involved in many complex transactions, representing a range of parties, and has significant experience in share deals, asset deals, corporate reorganization, and joint ventures. With a particular focus on healthcare and energy, he has successfully represented a wide array of corporations, investment banks, private equity firms, and entrepreneurs on multiple aspects of their projects.”

Stan has an LL.B. from the Universitatea Alexandru Ioan Cuza, an LL.M. from the University of Vienna, and a Ph.D. from King’s College London. Prior to joining Stratulat Albulescu earlier this year, he spent two years with DLA Piper, eight years with Dentons, and a year with Musat si Asociatii.

“I am extremely pleased to see both Cristina and Octav becoming partners,” commented Managing Partner Silviu Stratulat. “Cristina has shown an outstanding commitment to the growth of the firm and to providing the best service to our clients and I am excited to have seen her professional development since she first joined our firm. Octav has proved himself a mature lawyer and team leader in the little time he spent with us. He has always been supportive in getting the work done regardless of tight deadlines or workload. Both of them are exceptionally talented lawyers and I know they will contribute greatly to the continued success of our story."
