Former Musat & Asociatii Partner Octavian Popescu has left the firm to set up his own: Popescu & Asociatii.

A Musat press release announced that Popescu had withdrawn from its partnership on January 16. The firm declared its partners' gratitude for their years together, and wished him success in his future professional activity.

Popescu specializes in corporate & commercial litigation, with additional expertise in insolvency, foreclosure writs and procedures, and bankruptcy matters. He was with Musat for over 13 years. Among his recent projects, Popescu represented the Cyane SRL real estate developer in a dispute between the Cluj Napoca Local Council and the Association for Urbanistic Protection of Cluj as reported by CEE Legal Matters on July 13, 2017.

Popescu informed CEE Legal Matters that his new firm will kick off with a team of more than 15 lawyers, including four partners, but declined to offer more information at this stage.
