Sobczynscy i Partnerzy has advised the shareholders and founders on their sale of Izolbet and Izolbex to Holcim Group company Lafarge.

Closing is expected in the second half of 2022, pending regulatory approval.

Established in 1995, Izolbet is a Polish producer of waterproofing materials, construction chemicals, mortars, and plasters. The company employs 170 people and has four production plants located in Budzyn, Gostynin, Kleszczow, and Chmielow.

The Holcim Group is a building materials manufacturer offering solutions for contractors, architects, and engineers around the world. The group produces cement, aggregates, and concrete designed for housing, small local projects, as well as architecturally demanding infrastructure projects. The Holcim Group employs approximately 75,000 people in around 80 countries.

"Specialty building solutions have been a key focus for expanding Solutions & Products in Europe, notably with the recent acquisitions of the PRB Group in France and PTB-Compaktuna in Belgium," Holcim Group Region Head EMEA Miljan Gutovic commented. "I’m excited to be welcoming all of Izolbet’s employees into the Holcim family to unleash our next chapter of growth together."
