Gide has advised KGHM Polska Miedz S.A. on the sale of a 45% equity stake in the Sierra Gorda joint venture by Japanese corporation Sumitomo to the Australian mining group South32.

Last year, Gide advised Sierra Gorda S.C.M., KGHM Polska Miedz S.A., Sumitomo Metal Mining CO., LTD, and Sumitomo Corporation on a USD 700 million financing from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on April 1, 2021).

Gide’s team included Partners Piotr Sadownik and Dariusz Tokarczuk, Counsel Krzysztof Cieplinski, Senior Associate Edyta Zalewska, and Associates Dawid Van Kedzierski, Szymon Chwalinski, and Wojciech Czyzewski.

Gide did not reply to our inquiry on the deal.
