BCGL and Norton Rose Fulbright Advise on BGK’s PLN 500 Million Financing for Play

Balicki Czekanski Gryglewski Lewczuk has advised Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego on its PLN 500 million financing for Polish mobile network Play. Norton Rose Fulbright advised Play on the transaction.

According to BCGL, the funds are to be provided under the “Digital Poland 2014-2020” framework and will be used to further develop Play’s telecommunications infrastructure, allowing the company to offer its clients access to a broadband Internet connection, including 5G networks.

Launched in 2007, Play provides mobile voice, messaging, data, and video services for consumers and businesses.

The BCGL team was led by Partner Wiktor Lewczuk and included Junior Associate Filip Grabowski.

Norton Rose Fulbright’s team was led by Counsel Tomasz Rogalski and consisted of Associates Igor Kondratowicz and Karolina Majcher.
