DZP lawyers Michal Cecerko, Maciej Orkusz, and Jakub Wieszczeczynski have been promoted to Partner.

According to DZP, Cecerko “created and is developing a team for restructuring and insolvency proceedings. He advises both debtors and creditors in restructuring measures and represents them in court and in out-of-court negotiations.” Cecerko, who has been with DZP since 2011, has a Magister’s degree in Law from the University of Warsaw.

Former Senior Associate Orkusz is part of DZP’s Dispute Resolution Practice. According to the firm, “he specializes in court and administrative court cases, arbitration, and contract law. He represents clients in, among other things, disputes involving banking transactions, construction disputes, and combating unfair competition.” He has been with DZP since 2011. Before that, he spent over four years with Baker McKenzie.

Wieszczeczynski, according to the firm, “specializes in merger and acquisition transactions and in restructuring and corporate matters. In the Corporate and M&A Practice, Wieszczeczynski acts for private businesses and investors, particularly in succession issues. He represents domestic and international clients, particularly in the FMCG and new technologies sectors.” He has been with the firm since 2002. Prior to that, he spent two years with EY Law.
