Gide Advises Banks on PLN 2 Billion Loan to Ciech

The Warsaw office of Gide Loyrette Nouel has advised a consortium of banks, including PKO Bank Polski, BNP Paribas, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China’s Poland branch, Bank Pekao, mBank, Bank Millennium, Credit Agricole, Societe Generale, Bank Handlowy, Bank Ochrony Srodowiska, and Intesa Sanpaolo, on its provision of PLN 2.115 billion in financing to the Ciech Group.

According to Gide, the loan agreement consists of a term loan of up to PLN 560 million, a term loan of up to PLN 1.305 million, and a revolving loan of up to PLN 250 million. 

The Ciech Group is a Polish chemicals manufacturer that was founded in Lodz in 1945. 

Gide’s team consisted of Partner Dariusz Tokarczuk, Legal Advisor Marta Karminska, and Legal Trainee Paulina Surma. The firm did not reply to an inquiry about the deal.
