Grant Thornton and SK&S Advise on Biomasa Partner Group’s Takeover of Sawmill from IKEA Industry

Grant Thornton has advised the Biomasa Partner Group on its acquisition of a sawmill in Chociwel, Poland from IKEA Industry. Soltysinski Kawecki & Szlezak advised the seller.

Financial details of the deal, which closed on March 1, 2021, were not disclosed.

According to Grant Thornton, the acquisition will increase Biomasa Partner Group’s capacity for raw material production and will help the company expand into new markets. The company is described by Grant Thornton as “the leading producer of certified wood pellet, wood briquette, and highest-quality raw material for pellet production and woody biomass for the energy purposes.”

Grant Thornton’s team was led by Attorney-at-Law Karol Guzdziol.
