Dentons Poland has advised DNB Bank Polska on its PLN 155 million financing package for Wilko 5, a special purpose vehicle of the Helios Energy Investments Fund, for the construction of five wind farms in Poland’s Wielkopolskie region. Clifford Chance reportedly advised the borrowers on the deal.

According to Dentons, “as a part of the project, a total of thirteen wind turbines with a total capacity of more than 26 megawatts will be built.”

Dentons also describes the deal as, “the fourth project financed by DNB Bank Polska in the renewable energy sector and the third one implemented in cooperation with Dentons.” Among these was Dentons' 2019 advising a consortium of six banks, including DNB, on financing the construction of Poland's Potegowo wind farm (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on June 3, 2019).

Dentons’ team consisted of Partners Mateusz Toczyski and Agnieszka Kulinska, Managing Counsel Piotr Nerwinski, Senior Associates Jan Dubinski and Lena Boczkaja, and Associate Jakub Walawski.
