Artur Bilski, the former Head of Legal at Alior Bank, has become the new Head of Banking and Finance at Kochanski & Partners.

“Artur specializes in financing transactions, advising both banks and borrowers/issuers,” reports Kochanski & Partners. “In his practice, he has advised the largest banks and financial institutions in Poland and Europe, including insurance companies, investment funds, lending companies, and payment institutions. He has conducted multi-phased advisory processes in the area of securitization and issuance of covered bonds and structured financial instruments. He has extensive experience in working with clients from the energy, telecommunications, construction, infrastructure and transport industries, and also public and local government entities. He has handled complex restructuring projects, advising, among others, leading companies from the retail sector and mining companies. Artur also has extensive knowledge of financial regulations, including banking law, PSD2 (payment services), MiFID (trading in financial instruments), CRR/CRD IV (capital adequacy), MAR (market abuse), AML (anti-money laundering), and consumer protection law.” 

Bilski, who joins as Counsel, has an LL.M. and a Ph.D. from the University of Warsaw. Prior to joining Kochanski & Partners, he spent over a year and a half with PKO Bank Polski, two and a half years with Clifford Chance, two years with Hogan Lovells, over a year as the General Counsel of Ramp, and nine months as Head of Legal with Alior Bank.
