Members of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) have re-elected ENGARDE Managing Partner Irina Nazarova Chair of the association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. The election was held by electronic ballot. Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners Ukraine Associate Oleksandr Volkov was appointed the committee’s Deputy Chair.
This will be Nazarova's third consecutive term as the Chair of the UBA’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. Nazarova said the following: “I am honoured that my colleagues have expressed their trust in me once again. We will join our efforts and carry on with improving Ukraine’s legislation and practices towards the goal of proarbitrability. We will not stop at that, however. Other ADR methods, like mediation, will stay at the core of our activities. ”
Volkov stated, "It’s a great honour and pleasure to serve our Ukrainian ADR community. Focusing on judiciary and business, aiming to bridge the abyss in their understanding and utilizing the ADR methods, we are planning to arrange effective and eventful work of the Committee.”
