Noerr's Warsaw office has advised Germany’s GBA Group on its acquisition of JARS S.A. Gessel advised the seller on the deal.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

GBA Group is a Hamburg-based laboratory testing service providers in the food, environment, and pharmaceuticals sectors. The company was founded in 1989 and has since established its operations in 33 locations in Europe.

JARS is a Polish operator of a chain of laboratories focusing on environmental analytics, foodstuffs, consumer goods, and pharmaceutical analytics.

According to Noerr, “the acquisition of JARS marks a successful entry into the Polish market and with it the GBA Group is continuing its international expansion and extending its network toward Eastern Europe.”
