Charity concert “EU Lawyers for Ukraine” will be held on Thursday, 4 May, at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

The event aims to raise funds for medical, educational and children’s projects in Ukraine. The audience will enjoy world-renowned Ukrainian pianist Dmytro Sukhovienko, accompanied by the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by David Navarro-Turres.

Ambassador Vsevolod Chentsov, Head of the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union, will grace the event and deliver the opening remarks.

The funds raised by this initiative will support three NGOs making a real difference on the ground in Ukraine:

  • UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Centre: A medical hub in Lviv providing comprehensive care and rehabilitation to those injured in the war. The funds will be used to purchase medical equipment.
  • Dobrodiy Club: A charity that helps children with educational and psychological support. The funds will be used to co-finance the psychological support centre for children in Kyiv to help them cope with trauma and stress caused by war through art therapy and other activities.
  • Hospitallers: A volunteer organisation of paramedics who provide first aid and evacuate injured people to hospitals, saving lives in the most dangerous areas in Ukraine. The funds will be used to purchase ambulances and medical equipment/supplies.

This event is a unique example of the solidarity and unity of Brussels’ legal and economic community in support of Ukraine. The initiative started by NGO “Ensemble Ukraine” together with Baker Botts has brought together several law firms and economic consultancies in Brussels, such as Baker Botts, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, Latham & Watkins, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, Slaughter and May, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, WilmerHale, Compass Lexecon, Charles River Associates, Positive Competition, Allen & Overy, Linklaters, White & Case and Analysis Group as founding sponsors.
