Adina Calfa-Dudoiu, the former Legal Director at Rosia Montana Gold Corporation, has joined the E-INFRA Group in Romania as the new Group General Counsel.

Rosia Montana Gold Corporation S.A., where Calfa-Dudoiu worked for over two years, is the gold mining project of Canada’s Gabriel Resources in Romania. Before joining RMCG in February 2017, she spent three years as the Legal Director of UPC Romania, and another ten in private practice with CMS.

"Infrastructure is a key area and one of the critical sectors at this time for Romania, where we all have a lot to build, and where the projects' multitude and complexity provide us with great motivation," Calfa-Dudoiu told CEE Legal Matters. "With this new role, I take up a great opportunity and a career challenge, that of creating legal synergies and consolidating the legal teams in all five companies of E-INFRA Group, to better share and upgrade the internal know-how. What motivates me and gives me very positive energy now is the powerful and skilled leadership team I discovered in E-INFRA and the opportunity to contribute to the development of the business, not only as an internal counsellor, but as a true business partner."

Issue 5.12 of the CEE Legal Matters magazine also included an Inside Insight with Calfa-Dudoiu in which the former RMCG Legal Director spoke about the challenges faced by in-house counsel in the Romanian mining sector and in the country in general.
