17th October, 2018, Courtyard of Brody Studios, Vörösmarty utca 38, Budapest 1064

OPL is pleased to invite you to upcoming annual event on Wednesday 17th October from 6pm at which Professor Daniel Martin Katz from Chicago will provide a presentation on the transformation of the legal industry, innovative legal solutions and legal innovation.

Professor Katz is one of the leading legal innovators of the world, and it is no exaggeration to say that he is the most well-known figure in “legal tech”: he is the recipient of countless awards and honors, editor of Oxford University’s International Journal of Law and Information Technology, editor of ALM’s Law Technology News, faculty member of Stanford’s CodeX, Chicago-Kent University and Northwestern University, member of the ABA’s Task Force on Big Data and Law, Co-Founder of Lex Predict, and he also serves as Director of LawLab at Illinois Tech.

Professor Katz has a unique perspective on law: he combines his background in artificial intelligence, network and decision science, legal informatics and quantitative modelling with expertise in law and jurisprudence.

He regularly lectures throughout the US and around the world; we are honoured to host his first presentation in Budapest – at an ideal time of year to show off the charms of our city.

We invite our guests from Budapest and abroad to join us as well for a lively discussion following Professor Katz’s presentation and then an international networking reception.
