CMS Advises Green Genius on the Sale of Polish Photovoltaic Project Portfolio

CMS has advised Lithuania’s Modus Group company Green Genius on the sale of its Polish 42.3-megawatt solar project portfolio to NextEnergy Capital Group. SSW Pragmatic Solutions reportedly advised the buyer on the transaction.

The transaction is expected to close in the last quarter of 2021. Financial details were not disclosed.

Green Genius operates in the renewable energy sector with more than 1.5 gigawatts of projects in different stages of development, including projects awarded a 15-year Contract for Difference in Poland’s 2019 renewable energy auction. According to CMS, once operational, the solar parks will have the combined output to supply about 24,000 homes per year.

NextEnergy Capital Group is a solar investment and asset manager. The transaction was executed through the NextPower III ESG solar fund and marks its first acquisition in Poland.
