Vasil Kisil & Partners has successfully represented the interests of Imperial Tobacco Production Ukraine in a dispute with Ukrainian tax authorities.
The VKP team successfully resolved this dispute in the local court as well as in the appellate court and Superior Administrative Court of Ukraine, proving in all instances, according to the firm, "that the tobacco factory's deduction of royalties paid to Reemtsma Cigarettenfabriken GmbH into expenses under the sub-license agreement was in full accordance with the tax laws of Ukraine."
