Schoenherr has advised and is representing Cubic (London) Limited ("Cubic") on a public takeover for all shares not held by San Gabriel Privatstiftung, T.R. Privatstiftung, or the other core shareholders in C-QUADRAT Investment AG ("C-QUADRAT"), an independent asset management company listed on the Vienna stock exchange.
A centralized cadastre system was introduced in Moldova in 1998. This system includes the cadaster of real estate, which involves a collection of data by the Moldovan real estate authorities about rights (including easements), proprietors, and other persons in relation to real estate.

Leroy si Asociatii advised France's Lactalis on its acquisition of Romanian dairy producer Albalact Alba Iulia. Schoenherr advised the shareholders of Albalact on the transaction, which Leroy si Asociatii describes as “the first significant voluntary takeover bid to be carried out on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.”
An employee was dismissed with immediate effect because he had published in-house information on his Facebook account. In the current decision on this case, the Austrian Supreme Court (“OGH“) confirmed that indiscrete Facebook posts may justify a dismissal (Decision by the Supreme Court, dated 27.11.2014, 9 ObA 111/14k).
On 11 January 2016, the Hungarian Competition Authority (Authority) announced the highest fine it has ever imposed on an association on account of horizontal information exchange. The fine of ca. EUR 12.7 million (HUF 4 billion) was imposed on the Hungarian Banking Association (Association) for the Association's database, which included not only strategically relevant, but also confidential data.
On 20 November 2015 the Moldovan Parliament voted on amending and supplementing the Moldovan Labour Code ("Labour Code"). As a result, Act No. 205/2015 ("Act No. 205") entered into force on 18 December 2015 implementing a series of long-awaited improvements, but also complicating the life of employers in some instances.
