FBK Legal has provided support to the process of establishing a joint venture in Russia involving the production of high-speed trains.
Four firms in Central and Eastern European — Pepa & Dobre from Romania, JebwabnyLegal from Poland, Krutak & Partners from Czech Republic, and DKKR Partners from Hungary – have joined forces to create Arcliffe, which they describe as "a premiere legal practice in CEE.” Together, the firm claims 40 lawyers, including 18 partners.

Drzewiecki Tomaszek has successfully represented the Polish private postal operator, InPost Group, in opposition proceedings concerning invalidation of trademark protection for the “PACZKOMAT" trademark against Poczta Polska (the Polish National Post). Linklaters has advised CBRE Global Investors in connection with its acquisition of the 44.4 thousand square-meter Jantar shopping center in Slupsk, Poland, from a subsidiary of Tristan Capital Partners. Dentons advised Tristan — which holds selling subsidiary Dormeo Investments in a 90/10% joint venture with minority shareholder Mayland Real Estate — on the EUR 92 million transaction.

The Orpea group — a European provider of Long-Term Care (nursing homes), Post-Acute Care, and Psychiatric Care — was advised by Gide Loyrette Nouel on its January 4, 2016 acquisition of a 90% stake in MEDI-System. Prior to the acquisition, MEDI-System was 50% owned by its founder, Marcin Zawadzki, and 50% by the US private equity firm Highlander Partners. Zawadzki retains the remaining 10% of share capital. The sellers were advised by the Krassowski law firm.
The Mrowiec Fialek & Partners law firm has advised Wydawnictwa Szkolne i Pedagogiczne on its acquisition of Profi-Lingua, one of the largest foreign language schools in Poland. The JGA law firm advised the shareholders and founders of the company, Maciej Jaglarz and Krzysztof Jaglarz, on the sale. The transaction is expected to close shortly.
