Rizoiu & Poenaru, Clifford Chance, and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom have advised Affidea on its acquisition of the Hiperdia diagnostics centers in Romania. Bondoc & Asociatii and Weil, Gotshal & Manges advised Hiperdia on the transaction, which remains contingent on obtaining regulatory approvals.
Affidea claims to be the largest pan-European medical service provider specializing in diagnostics investigations, clinical laboratories, and cancer treatment services. Hiperdia was founded in 1997 and offers medical imaging services, laboratory analysis and clinical consultations in 23 medical centers across 12 counties in Romania.
The Rizoiu & Poenaru team was coordinated, at different stages of the transaction, by Partners Lucian Poenaru, Radu Rizoiu, and Ioana Ochi, and included Of Counsel Cristian Paziuc and Junior Lawyers Mihaela Gherghe and Casandra Puscasu.
The Skadden team consisted of Partner Danny Tricot and Associate Jason Hewitt.
Bondoc & Asociatii declined to comment or offer details as to their involvement and Weil and Clifford Chance did not respond to CEE Legal Matters' request for confirmation and details.
