The Moral Law Firm has advised Borusan EnBW Enerji Yatirimlari ve Uretim A.S. — a joint venture of Borusan Holding A.S. and EnBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg AG — on its USD 38.5 million acquisition of the Kiyikoy Wind Power Plant from Aksa Energy. The Cakmak Law Firm, Cakmak-Gokce Law firm, and White & Case advised Aksa Energy on the deal, which is contingent on approval from Turkey's EMRA and Competition Authority.
Moral Law Firm has advised the Kardesler Family on the sale of Tozmetal Ticaret ve Sanayi A.S., a powder metallurgy parts manufacturer focusing on hydraulic pump components for the European automotive market which reported sales of EUR 24 million in 2016, to GKN, a premier manufacturer of oil pumps and powder metal components. The Regulation on the Law on Applications for Turkish Citizenship ("Regulation") has been published on Official Gazette dated 12.01.2017 and numbered 29946. According to the amendment, a foreign investor who meets certain conditions mentioned under the provisions added to the Regulation can obtain Turkish Citizenship. Besides the Regulation, Land Registry Code also stipulates criteria for buying property as a foreigner in Turkey.
