Vlasceanu & Partners and Wolf Theiss have advised the Ratesti Solar Plant – an Econergy group and Nofar group subsidiary – on the EUR 60 million financing from Raiffeisen Bank International and Raiffeisen Bank Romania to finance part of its EUR 102 million 155-megawatt solar project in Ratesti, Romania. CMS reportedly advised Raiffeisen Bank.

According to Vlasceanu & Partners, the financing structure relies on electricity merchant sales, without the need for a power purchase agreement. “Ratesti is Romania's largest solar project, developed on an area of 170 hectares, with a total installed capacity of 155 megawatts, expected to produce 220 gigawatt-hours of electricity per year. The project has successfully concluded its construction and grid connection phases, with the energization process recently finalized.”

The Vlasceanu & Partners team included Partner Loredana Vlasceanu, Senior Associate Mihaela Farin, and Associate Sorina Viziru.

The Wolf Theiss team was led by Partner Marcell Nemeth.
