With a couple of events under our belts – Istanbul was great, by the way – we celebrated the month of May through hard work and forged on to bring you a new installment of our magazine: the CEE Legal Matters May 2023 issue is out now!

On the evening of April 25, 2023, the Deal of the Year Awards Banquet brought together, under the same roof, top-tier lawyers from Central and Eastern Europe's leading law firms and ILFs active in the region in Istanbul.

Counting down the days till the CEE Deals of the Year Awards Banquet? We know we are, as the preparations have entered the home straight. And there are precisely seven days left before we meet in Istanbul, on the 25th, for an evening celebrating the largest and most important deals in Central and Eastern Europe as well as the lawyers and law firms who make them happen.

We are honored and excited to introduce (and extend a big thank you to!) our regional Final Selection Committee of Jurors for the 2022 CEE Deals of the Year awards.

2023 is now in full swing – as are our preparations for the DOTYs and the GC Summit in Istanbul – and this issue tracks the year’s progress across market sectors and CEE jurisdictions. We’re excited to announce the shortlisted deals for the 2022 CEE Deals of the Year Awards, recognizing the largest and most important deals in Central and Eastern Europe!

We’re excited to announce that all CEE Deal of the Year Submissions have been received, organized, placed on ballots, and sent out to various panels across CEE. The votes are already back in and the DOTY shortlists for each country will be announced this upcoming Tuesday! To celebrate it all, we’re delighted to announce that we’ve opened early bird registrations to this year’s CEE Deal of the Year Awards Banquet, to take place on April 25, in Istanbul. 

We skipped on the darkness bit – as you can see, the new CEELM Index 2022 issue is quite the colorful one. In case you were wondering what ‘they’ are, it’s no secret: our yearly Index issue aggregates all client matters we’ve covered over the past year (and some that we’ve not), provides insights (and stats) into the work of law firms and lawyers across the region and, perhaps most importantly, includes a list of all the 2022 Deal of the Year submissions.
